On 20 July 2025, we are proud to celebrate an important milestone: Karen Zerafa will mark her 5th anniversary at our company. Over these five years, she has grown, led, inspired, and helped shape the Motor Fleet & Corporate Clients department in remarkable ways.

Karen’s insurance journey stretches back to 1996, during which she has held roles both as an Insurance Broker and an Underwriter. In July 2020, she joined Island Insurance Brokers Ltd as a Senior Broker in the Personal Lines Department. 

When our company merged in 2021 to form Antes Insurance Brokers Ltd, Karen’s talents were recognised with a promotion to Assistant Manager in Motor Fleets & Corporate Clients. In 2024, she was elevated once more to Manager, a role in which she now plays a pivotal leadership part: managing a team that delivers personalised solutions for motor fleets and corporate clients, ensuring that even the most prestigious clients receive attentive, tailored support.

Outside of work, Karen unwinds by listening to music, gardening, reading, and travelling. If she could travel anywhere, she'd choose Canada—drawn by its majestic landscapes, national parks, and the charm of Quebec City.

Her professional inspiration comes from Claire Coleiro (formerly of First United), who taught Karen how to find strength in struggle and to live fully even when facing challenges. Karen says Claire “reignited my faith in humanity.”

Karen is proud of her ability to maintain calm comfort and quiet authority in situations where teammates may panic—a skill many of us admire and rely upon.

Her guiding maxim: “Once you face your fear, nothing is ever as hard as you think.”
